2. AMOUNT OF BOARD : The amount of Board is $_________ per month due on the 1st of every month. A $30 late fee will be added for all board received on the 6th or after.. No exceptions after the 5th.

3. OWNERSHIP : Customer ______ has full title and registration

4. VACCINATIONS . Customer warrants that the horse is free of all communicable diseases upon delivery to The Farm. Upon or prior to arrival, the Customer shall provide a record of current vaccination for Rhino, Equine Influenza, Eastern/Western, Tetanus, Rabies, Potomac Fever, and West Nile Virus, and a negative Coggins (Swamp Fever) test performed within (12) months prior to arrival. If the horse arrives without records of such vaccination and test, The Farm may at its option, not accept the horse or provide the vaccinations and test at Customer's expense. THE HORSE MUST BE DEWORMED 48 HOURS BEFORE IT'S ARRIVAL AT THE FARM WITH IVERMECTIN. If horse arrives without being dewormed, the horse will be wormed on arrival at Customer's expense and put in a stall for 48 hours.
5. VET CARE . Customer is to provide vaccinations, Coggins test, dental care, hoof care, deworming, and other veterinary needs, including emergency surgery, at Customer's expense. If you cannot be reached and emergency care is needed, customer authorizes The Farm to call a vet and:

The Farm is not responsible and will not pay any vet bills on behalf of Owner. In the event, any veterinarian bills The Farm instead of the Owner by mistake, Owner agrees to pay all vet bills within 30 days

Horse shall be free from infectious, contagious or transmissible diseases. The Farm reserves the right to refuse any horse not in proper health. If the horse’s vaccinations are not kept current by Owner, The Farm reserves the right to terminate this contract.
Manager reserves the right to notify the Owner within seven (7) days of horse’s arrival if horse, in Manager’s opinion, is deemed dangerous, sick or uncontrollable for a boarding stable. In such case, Owner is responsible for removing the horse within seven (7) days and for all fees incurred during horse’s stay. After all fees have been paid, this Contract is concluded.
6. SALE COMMISSIONS . In the event a horse is sold while at The Farm a commission equal to 15% of the sale price, payable at the time of sales, if the sale was achieved through The Farm’s efforts..
7. LIEN . Customer agrees that all outstanding balances due for board, conditioning, training, breeding, veterinary care, dental care, farrier work and all other fees, charges, and expenses pursuant to this contract shall be paid prior to The Farm's release of the horse. Customer grants The Farm a lien upon and security interest in the horse to secure payment of all obligations and amounts due under this Contract. The Farm may, at any time until all amounts due hereunder are fully paid, file a photocopy of this Contract in the county and state in which it believes the horse to be kept, or where the Customer resides, and when so filed the copy shall be effective as a financing statement as well as the security agreement. If account is 30 days past due and after three documented attempts to contact Owner, the horse will be considered abandoned. Owner agrees that Manager may sell the horse at auction and The Farm has the right to deduct all past due fees and any other direct charges from the proceeds. The balance, if any, will be sent to Owner’s last known address.
8. NONASSIGNABILITY . Owner may not assign any rights or delegate any duties under this contract without the written consent of The Farm.
9. TERMINATION AND WAIVER . This contract may be terminated by either party upon thirty (30) days written notice, except in the event of a default Time is of the essence, and no delay or failure by The Farm to exercise any right shall be deemed a waiver of that or any right or remedy. Under North Carolina Law an Equine Professional is not liable for an injury to or the death of a par-ticipant in equine activities resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities.
Owner agrees The Farm, their agents and employees are not liable for death, sickness and/or accident, including consequential damages caused by horse. In addition, Owner agrees to hold Manager completely harmless and not liable for any injury whatsoever caused to Owner, and/or loss or damages to personal property and/or the Horse itself. It is the Owner’s responsibility to carry full and complete insurance coverage on Owner, Owner’s horse and all personal property. Owner agrees to abide by all rules and regulations and to wear proper safety equipment (i.e. hard hat and boots). 10.. No horses may roam freely. They must always be in hand, under saddle or turned out in a pasture.
11. Children under 16 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.
12. No dogs.
13. This Contract represents the entire agreement between the parties. No other agreements or promises, verbal or implied are included.
